TA clips are a pain in the neck.A good old fashioned snap-swivel ,small but strong made for saltwater is best imo.Ball bearing type is best.Hopkins, kastmasters and various tins and jigs are difficult to attach under adverse conditions with a TA clip, not to mention plugs that have a deep, recessed face.

Why do you recommend the tactical anglers clip over just tying directly to the plug? Simply for the ease of changing the plug ?

Please tell me this is a highlight reel of your day and you weren't getting fish on off of every cast. If that is the case then I'm going straight home and throwing my rod in the water and never fishing again.

John, great video. I see that you fish with a Van Staal. I want to get one soon. Do you think the VS200 is more versatile then the VS150? I can't decide which one to get. Thanks

Excellent vids – I hate them right now though. I can't wait for winter to end already! CC lures are great, I love adding a small amount of sand to the bottom of it so they weigh more

John, would you be able to work that rod effectively while in a kayak, or can you suggest a different rod that would be more suitable for working a pencil while seated?
