Many anglers use a short leader for combining braid to fluorocarbon. Shaw Grigsby uses a much longer leader and has a good reason for it.

That knot will damage the tip of your guides at some point when you keep casting with a knot that goes back and forth through the guides. Any knot should just dangle outside the guides so a 1mt leader is about all you should have. Best knot Braid-FC I believe it's FG and PR knot nothing else comes close to these knots.

I did not get the knot but fluoro leader is good because it sinks and is abrasion resistant. But why not use a knot fluo to braid which is shock resistant?

Good info ! I to use a long 20’ leader , but like you say it finally cuts through after fishing it awhile and yep , get snagged and the whole leader cuts through the uni knot ! I’ll have to try that uni, clinch knot combined ! Thank You !👍🎣
