One of my favorite topwater poppers of all time was the Xcalibur Zell Pop. A couple years ago they were bought out by a new company and they no longer made my favorite patterns. So Liz and I made a call to TK to help spice up and recreate that trusty ole popper. He painted two killer patterns in bluegill and chartreuse shad. We also upgraded the hooks to Mustad triple grips and added 3D eyes. Watch as Liz and I took them for their first trial run during the shad spawn…they did not disappoint!

    Great Video
However Excalibur was never bought out by Booyah

They were owned by the same company, Pradco. Pradco diluted Excalibur and rolled some of their baits into Booyah Brand name.

I worked for them for several years

That end shot of Liz cranking in the popper would make a great addition to some bloopers reels of you both. I'm sure y'all have some equal amounts of funny times. Those poppers look awesome but my wife has me on restriction on fishing gear I can buy. Ha! Don't lie hubbies y'all know we spend alot or money on gear lol! … Great video guys! Tight lines!

Great video, as usual. Those are nice lookin' poppers. During "day 2" of the footage, it seemed kind of hazy out, or was the camera lens dirty? All these comments below about the new aquarium, as if that's their only interest now. Come on folks, this is a channel about BASS FISHING first & foremost. Some of them don't even comment about the fishing or the new custom lures. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the new aquarium too………but I think some of the viewers need to be patient & remember what the main topic of this channel is all about. And I'm sure we'll all get to see Bonnie & Clyde plenty in the future.
