I am kicking off my lure review month with a lure that I have talked about and fished with over many years the rapala original floater. It is a great lure that has been around for a lot of years and still catches fish to this day. For smallmouth bass it is still one of my most well used lures. I throw it out and give it a few slight twitches and it drives bass crazy. I have a lot of other rapala lures but none that catches as many fish as this one has for me. There are tons of different colours and sizes to choose from and I recommend looking at the website link below that shows a list of all there colours and sizes. Stay tuned for the month of February where I will be reviewing all kinds of fishing gear for all kinds of fishing trips and adventures!

The gold and black Rapala is a classic. I've caught tons of fish with that lure.

My favorite most bestest lure ever! I use the F11 size mostly, in the Rainbow Trout pattern. They never fail me when fish are in the area. I bought my first one when I was 12, I'm 64 today.

    Hello,
Is this lure suitable for saltwater fishing? Mackerel?

By about 1:54 into the vid, I can see the face of Albert Einstein in that marble pattern.  😉  I've used Rapalas ever since I began fishing, and I think it's still one of the all-time essential, must-have lures….even with all the advancements and plethora of choices in crankbaits.

It is one of my favorites too. I do like the Gary yamamoto worms to but these lures are really good! Thanks for the comment!
