In this Tackle Tuesday I go over my rod and reel arsenal. This was a highly requested video and kind of scary to think I have spent this much money on gear!!!! These are some of the spinning, baitcaster and conventional rod and reel combos I have collected over the years, that have helped me offshore, inshore, saltwater, freshwater, beach, shark, big game and other types of fishing. Florida has a diverse fishery and to catch em all, you gotta pay to play.

Im going on my first offshore trip this year. I've got a shimano tyrnos 30 , but need a rod. I was told this charter only allows mono and a minimum of 100lb. What power/ action rod or line rating would I need to pick up? And would it be a good idea to bring extra line since i wont be getting much of a 100lb on this reel.

No I don't wonder what 10000 bucks of fishing setups look like since I can look at ten thousand bucks just on the two LPS with the custom rods on the boat

makes me laugh when tackle tarts and idiot egotistical fishermen think they need a specific rod for every type of fish and thats why the rod makers make them but in reality one type of rod can be used for many other fish too and really you can get away with EVERY type of fishing with a 4-8oz beachcaster,2-4oz beachcaster/pier/float/bass rod, light to medium spinning rod, medium to heavy spinning rod, fly rod and 2 or 3 boat rods and thats about to fish any fish there is so theres no need to buy fish specific rods and only use it for that ,really you should think of what fish you want to catch and type of fishing you do then buy rods that have more than 1 use,, like bass fishermen ,they use about 12 rods ,1 rod for each lure lol, instead of just changing lure and i get that when in a competition or tournament like scott martin but to see kids and leisure fishermen do same is ridiculous,, im finding myself to be bit of a tackle tart lately but i limit myself when comes to rods,, all my rods have 2 or 3 purposes dependant on type of fish fishing for,, always americans that go overboard with the rods and i find it not only stupid but funny also because i just think of a rod maker that sells species specific rods and also sell same type of rod with different purpose but with same specs and when i see these men with 30 rods and using a snook rod for example i always imagine the rod maker thinking 'haha got ya' but and its a big BUT ,, if you want to buy every rod you desire and every little thing then why shouldnt you? its your money and it makes you happy so you do you, i just find it comical,, im pretty sure there a rods with exact same specs as that snook rod and its called a regular name and costs half the price,, its craziness so stupid but if you wanna look like a pro and swing ya dick around while snook fishing with others with non snook specific rods then go for it, im sure everyone will envy you,, lol or not.

the best surf fishing reel you can get is an Alvey from Australia it dont matter if its new or 50 years old it will catch anything, but the best part about using an alvey is the cast you get they can cast to the moon without the birds nest

Your not boring. FYI…..Was watching Wicked Tuna season end. I know that they manipulate what we see, but……The view shows flat as glass seas and yellow line, break away and comeback seconds later,  the seas are rough and the line is blue. Keep it reel. West coaster here and cant follow with your speed of verbal deliver but I can rewind and listen again, thanks again
