You are a good lure maker.
But you' been using that knife in the most dangerous way as well.
best music ever
Good call, now that I've had a chance to look at it, you are absolutely right…. I finished one a few days ago.
The hook hangers look like ordinary aluminum (or other metal) wire that has been twisted. The gauge of the wire, I would guess, is around 14 to 16?
Can and/or will anyone verify that?
What kind of wood are you using?
POPPERS! get some dowell bout inch and a half long. 1 inch wide.. cut a v shape in one end like ——-
then cut in half length ways, carve a little hook 'groove' down the middle of each peice. put ur hook in it (3/0), then glue it back together, paint it and add feathers or whatever and theres a DIY popper!!!!
would like to make a musky glider but all mine just shoot in straight lines instead of side to side action. any ideas???shoot me a message.
Thanks for the reply Seth…
His website didn't have anything useful.
What are you opinions on basswood?
1) What kind of wood are you using?
2) What is the tool you are using to shape it in the beginning?
making own lures are a lot more fun then them you buy i am doing jerkbaits they catch a lot of fish.
this had got to be theee most annoying music ever.
just freakin buy one
Did you ever finish the lure fully and tried to use it?
where can u buy a piece of balsa wood that size?
Finish it and show how it swims. I am making my own wood lure right now using a different technique. If you catch fish with that, good job.
Reminiscent of the banana shape Rapala uses in their taildancer series. Only upside down, though. Maybe I'll take a crack at it, and see if it works!
