This fishing rig has been working for us in so many places. Between pier fishing, bridge fishing and river fishing, this float rig works its magic almost anywhere we use it! Today we are fishing in the back creek waters of Florida. During the winter time, the fish move from the ocean to the back waters and rivers. This is a perfect place to use this rig. Because of the fast flowing water, you can cover a lot of water using the float rig, without losing your rig to a snag on the bottom.
If you want to learn how to use this rig, we have written and illustrated a 10 page in depth EBOOK tutorial.

nice that your cathing that many fish, but they all seem to be very small, they all seem to be just about the allowed measurements, but still very small :), even the ones you define as "nice" 🙂 , have you caught some 40+ cm or 3+ KG this way?

Here in Europe we've been fishing with floats, for centuries, for an obvious reason.
This technique is catchy as hell.

Try handling your trout with wet hands… removing their slime coat from dry hands or on the ground may reduce survival rate if intended to release… chances are the fish will live longer when handled proper and you can have more fish in future.

Those are popping corks. Primary use is to hang a DOA shrimp or some other artificial under it and snatch the cork to make a chugging noise imitating feeding fish. Others come to investigate the action and find your bait dangling. Very effective for trout, redfish, hybrid and stripers.
