Very easy know and low profile so won't hurt the guides. How does it compare to the FG Knot?

    It's the Yucatan knot.

That looks the same as the ukotan knot.
    I use that same knot.
I have found better results if you get the tag end and do a half hitch.
Lock it tight then trim it back you won’t get any knot failures.

I used a triple surgeons loop. I tied 30 lb braid to 40 lb fluorocarbon leader, lubricated it. Could hardly pull it tight. Had to use gloves then coax the wraps together. Looks easy in the video. Will fewer wraps, say 10, hold up?

FG knot much better and slimmer profile but harder to tie.

Do you have a giant loop in the braid when your done? You only trimmed the leader line

the first few turns keep slipping off the loop when I tighten it, and that consistently. of all the albright-like knots I currently much prefer the Bristol knot which is next to impossible to tie wrong.

Curious what the need is for the Bimini in the first place? Will it work just tying the braid to mono without the Bimini?

FG Knot works for me also for braided to floro or mono. Check out some videos on YouTube on the FG knot. You won't be disappointed.
