This fishing rig is my new favorite because it catches so many fish! We have learned the best way to catch fish in Florida from bridges, inlets and jetties. Perfect for Florida fishing, this fishing rig catches red drum, trout, pompano, blue fish, flounder and just about ever inshore species you can think of. The float rig is so versatile, it works for MANY kinds of fish. Join us in this episode as we go Florida fishing with our new friends Loi and Michael. We appreciate their local insight and want to say thanks to them for taking us out fishing. It was a fun day! Comment below and let me know if you’ve tried this rig or not!

If you’d like more detailed information on how to use the float rig, check out our new float rig adventure guide and learn exactly how to set up, use and catch fish with the float rig.

And if you drop it down and your line isn’t moving, most likely your sinker had hit bottom or snag.

We call it a slip cork guys a bobber is static in my head. Also u need to explain that longer rods are important to pic up all the extra slack line. You can use small buck tails under them too and pop the cork a lil to make it vertical jig. Better with a long stick like slip cork. Good vid keep em coming.

Hey Senko! Pretty sure what you guys caught was a permit and not a pompano. Pompano's have more of a yellow belly, where Permit have very little color on their belly with a touch of orange around their belly/anal fin. Just an observation. You should Goggle it. Great video!!

This is the standard float rig that everyone uses at sea in the UK, great as it can be adjusted to fish anywhere in the water column.

It's illegal to fish from ANY bridge, that I've tried at least, in Arizona and it drives me nuts. If anyone knows of a bridge in AZ that you can fish from, let me know please!
