This fishing rig increases bait’s visibility to fish by drifting a 2 ft. long leader off the bottom. The bait comes alive when fishing on a drifting boat or moving water. Minimum hardware to enhance bait’s natural presentation.

would copying this exact rig, not changing the weights or the size of the hook work for catching rockfish on a jetty. (california jetty). im a beginner so ive been hearing i should do a bottom rig with squid strips.

You call that fucking simple? I don’t have the hand-eye coordination nor the vision to rig that up. I’ll buy some pre-made rigs.

It's a good right as I've used that right before but my only concern is the coloured beads. I've used beads on many of my rigs but have never had any luck as I think it must spook the fish. Remove the beads and I'm catch fish again

its cool but the knot for the sinker is highly not necessary, it would make sence to use that knot on your hooks for extra strength, and the single line on your sinker to break your line away from snags 😃

if you wan to make a video about how to tie . you should change your background. because it hard to see. and please use bigger line so people can clearly see what you do. this rig is good and must be strong too. but the only problem is . people just can't see it.

I really liked this video it doesn't have 30 minutes of nonsense like the others and it's helpful the only real hard part in this is the weird weight knot but other than that please keep doing things like this

Awesome video! I've used this type of setup as my go-to bottom rig for years. Yet until now I never thought about twisting the loop in the dropper loop… Cool stuff!

I liked everything about your tutorial except I don't believe "Beads" are optional anymore, since moving to the Texas coastline away from freshwater fishing I've managed to keep my line and leaders longer by adding the beads, it cushions the weight when sliding against hitting your leaders, and fraying the line
